Cycle Trails

An easy all ages cycle track beginning in Glencoe Village connects with the de-commissioned railway line from Ballachulish to Oban. This is a super smooth wide, largely car free tarmac route giving some great viewpoints and places of interest between Glencoe and Oban. Cuil Bay a quiet coastal area can be accessed easily from the route along with Castle Stalker, Jubilee Bridge leading to Port Appin. The Creggan Inn perhaps for food or at least a coffee makes a good stop if your energy and enthusiasm is still with you. The route can be found online as route 78 – The Caledonia Way.

There are lots of un-charted routes which we can discuss with you on arrival. For those travelling without bikes a small cycle hire shop called Crank It Up can be found opposite the Glencoe Café in the village.

Further afield ski lift assisted downhill tracks are available at Glencoe Mountain Resort and the UCI World Cup tracks at Nevis Range.
