Covid-19

The Coronavirus means we still have some temporary changes in place to help stop the virus spreading.

All covid rules and restrictions have been lifted in Scotland, but the virus has not gone way.  We will still provide our same quality of hospitality and service, just a little different.

With this in mind please note:

We have adopted the ‘Covid sense’  guidelines to help protect yourself and others.  The latest advice from the Scottish Government can be found here.

Arrival

  • Whilst the legal requirement to wearing a face covering was lifted on 18 April 2022 we will still be wearing ours, we would appreciate it if you would consider wearing one too in the corridor to protect other guests and ourselves.
  • On arrival rooms will be available from 4pm at the earliest to allow us extra time for enhanced cleaning.  Unfortunately we can not offer rooms earlier.
  • Keys are disinfected, sanitised and placed in your room.

Cleaning

Our reviews through our online booking system rates our cleanliness as 5 Stars.  We have received the highest possible grading from Visit Scotland with regards to housekeeping for the past eighteen years.  Our standards have always been very high and this will continue.

  • We require all guests to leave the guest house whilst room cleaning is taking place.  Guests staying more than one night need to vacate the house between 11.00am and 2.00pm.
  • Our cleaning products have changed in line with government guidelines to include viricidal disinfectant EN14476.
  • We do all our own laundry, all towels and bedding are washed on a 60 degrees wash.
  • Soft furnishings are sprayed with an accredited anti bacterial spray.
  • A full deep clean of a guest bedroom will take place when guests depart.  Whilst guests are staying there will only be the essential/minimal cleaning taking place in guest bedrooms as required.  Please note beds will not be made when guests are staying more than one night.  This is to prevent any ‘possible cross contamination’ between rooms whilst cleaning.

Breakfast

  • We have four tables in our breakfast room, these are at least one metre apart.
  • Windows and doors will be open at breakfast time and during the day to encourage ventilation.
  • We offer our full traditional cooked breakfast menu.  We request that the hot cooked breakfast is ordered the night before by completing our breakfast form.  Our self-service cold bar has changed to a menu, which is on your table at breakfast time.
